Dr. Hasan, a leading Ophthalmology Consultant in the Kingdom of Bahrain with almost 50 years of experience in the field. He finished his basic medical training in mid 60s and started the journey with Ophthalmology since then. He was trained and worked at the Hospital of the American University in Beirut, where he was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Hasan then worked as a Senior Registrar in various prestigious hospitals in the UK where he became a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmology in the UK.
Dr. Hasan moved back to Bahrain in 1977 and worked as a Consultant in the Dept. of Ophthalmology, Salmaniya Medical Center till 1996. During this time, Dr. Hasan held different positions at Salmaniya Medical Center and became Head of Ophthalmology Department from 1981 to 1993 and was a member in more than 20 societies and associations both inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Hasan founded Al Arrayed Eye Center, previously known as Specialized Eye Center Bahrain in 1992. He is the Chairman and a full-time consultant ophthalmic surgeon. In 2009, he opened another Ophthalmic Center at the Royal Medical Centre in Qatar to serve the people of the region.
Dr. Hasan is a leading figure in ophthalmic teaching and continues to visit international conventions in Ophthalmic surgery bi-annually in the United States and Europe to bring the latest evidenced based clinical practice and technologies to the Kingdom of Bahrain and Bahrain and beyond.

Dr. Hamed Hasan Al Arrayedh
Consultant Vitreoretinal and Cataract Surgeon

Dr. Hamed Al Arrayedh started his journey in the medical field 15 years ago in Ireland. After graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Hamed obtained MMed (OphthSc) Masters in Medicine in Ophthalmic Science from University of Sydney, Australia. Then he joined the Ophthalmology Surgical training program in Ireland where he trained in the main Ophthalmology hospital in Dublin, Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital. He completed the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Ophthalmology (CCST) for the Irish College of Ophthalmologists.
With his forward thinking, He obtained Masters in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland to bring excellence in Healthcare service to our well established Al Arrayed Eye Center in Bahrain. He also obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland.
Dr. Hamed pursued and completed his Membership of the Irish College of Ophthalmologists Ireland in 2015. Thereafter, he also completed the European Board of Ophthalmology in Paris, France in 2016. In the meantime he indulged as Vitreoretinal Surgery Specialist Registrar in Galway University Hospital, a tertiary referral center, covering the large population of the West of Ireland.
Dr. Hamed brought all his skills and clinical experience to serve the community in the Kingdom of Bahrain and is currently a Consultant Vitreoretinal and Cataract Surgeon at Al Arrayed Eye Center.

Dr. Revathy Subramany
Specialist Ophthalmic Surgeon

Dr. Revathy started her journey in the field since more than 30 years. She graduated with a medical degree from T.D. Medical College in Alleppy, India in early 90s. After graduation, she worked as a Senior House Surgency at MOSC at Medical Mission Hospital in Kerala.
Dr. Revathy then obtained MS in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Madaras Medical College, India. Between 1995-1998, Dr. Revathy worked as a Specialist Ophthalmologist and used to carry our procedures like Cataract, Intra-Ocular Lence Implantation, trabeculectomy and all minor procedures as an independent Ophthalmic In-Charge.
Dr. Ravethy joined Al Arrayed Eye Center on 1998 and has been serving the community in Bahrain since then. She has been carrying out all major and minor Surgical Procedures like cataract Extraction with Intra ocular lens implantation, refractive surgeries (Lasik and Lasek), contact lens, ultrasound scan (A and B scan), OCT (Optical Coherent Tomography), FFA ( Funds Fluorescing Angiography ), Wave Scan, CT (Control Topography), Pachymetry. She has been also assisting our visiting Oculo Plastic Surgeon, Squint Surgeon, Glaucoma Surgeon and working as a part of the team of our Vitreo Retinal Unit in Operation Theatre.
Dr. Revathy has special interest in Continues Medical Education. She presented papers different conferences and journals like MEACO, Arab Health, All India ophthalmology Conference, American Academy, ME Ophthalmology Journal.
Dr. Amin Nasr
Visiting Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon

Dr. Amin Started his journey in the late 70s when he graduated from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. After graduation, Dr. Amin was trained in Ophthalmology in the American University of Beirut and became Certified Ophthalmologist by the Lebanese Order of Physicians in 1981.
Dr. Amin was trained and worked in various prestigious hospitals in the USA. In 1982, he was a Clinical Fellow in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Massachusetts Eye and Ear Harvard Medical School; Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Dr. Amin was also a Fellow Associate of Diagnostic Ultrasonography and Orbital Diseases in 1983-1984, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery of the Orbits in the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA.
In 1987, Dr. Amin received his Fellowship from the International College of Surgeons (FICS), Chicago. Then in 1992, Dr. Amin was Board Certified and Fellow American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), USA. After that, in 1993 he became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Chicago, USA.
Dr. Amin Nasr brought all his experiences to the middle east and worked in many hospitals in the area. He is a Consultant Oculoplastic and Orbital Disease Surgeon and Senior Academic Consultant at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia since early 90s. He is also a Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
Dr. Amin is a visiting Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon at Al Arrayed Eye Center providing his tremendous experience and artistic hands giving the best in oculoplastic and cosmetic eye surgery treatment to people in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. P. Sathyan
Visitor Consultant Cataract and Glaucoma Surgeon

Dr. Sathyan started his journey in early 90s when he graduated from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Coimbatore, India. After graduation, Dr. Sathyan pursued a Diploma in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital in India. Then he continued training and received a Diploma National Board from Aravind Eye Hospital.
Dr. Sathyan completed a fellowship training in Glaucoma at Aravind Eye Hospital, Maudrai. In 2003, he moved to the United States and received training in various prestigious institutes like Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, John Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, Washington and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York.
Dr. Sathyan brought all his skills back to India where he worked in various positions at Aravind Eye Hospital and was Chief of Glaucoma Services, Aravind Eye Hospital for 15 years. He performed more than 75,000 Cataract, Glaucoma and other surgeries.
Dr. Sathyan is a visiting Consultant Cataract and Glaucoma Surgeon at Al Arrayed Eye Center brining world class precision results to the people of Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Ibrahim Dunya
Visiting Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmology and Squint Surgeon

Dr. Ibrahim started his journey in the late 80s when he graduated from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Then he joined the Ophthalmology residency program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
Dr. Ibrahim then moved to the United States to improve his skills and gain more experience. He was trained and worked as a clinical fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School in Boston. After that, he joined New England Medical Center at Tufts University in Boston as an Instructor in Ophthalmology and Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Ibrahim has almost 25 years of experience in Pediatric Squint (Strabismus) and he is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Lebanese American University. Dr. Ibrahim also is an Ophthalmic Consultant and Partner & Director of the Eye and Ear Hospital International in Lebanon.
Dr. Ibrahim is a visiting Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Al Arrayed Eye Center to provide his great experience to the children of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
